“… Sussex University management seem to have no problem breaking promises, and then lying about it.”

The Freeman Centre was purpose built to house Sussex University’s SPRU and Brighton University’s CENTRIM. This collaborative project has yielded great research on innovation for the last ten years, and was set to continue for many more. Then one day, Sussex University management decided to end the partnership, with an email, without warning. As a PhD student I find this incredibly irresponsible and disrespectful. Should SPRU’s move go ahead, it will undo ten years of collaborative research and damage relationships between both universities. The most worrying thing is that Sussex University management seems to have no problem breaking agreements, and then lying about it.
